surprised to see that the price for booking the whole centre, which is a must for youth groups due to regulations about child protection etc.,has risn by 20 percent.

Great to find the entry in Trail Magazine and to be reminded of the Woodlands. Hope all is going well (sounds as if there are developments aplenty) but bookings look disappointed. Regards to all Bob

I would like to make it clear to all users that we do employ a Warden/Caretaker to look after the site. As he is only part time he may or may not be on the site when you are there. We have in the past unfortunately suffered costly vandalism, and unruly behaviour, causing neighbours to complain. We are a registered charity run by a group of volunteers, we are NON-PROFIT making and we feel we must take all reasonable precautions to protect our interest. Please email me with any enquiries to enquiries@woodlandscentre.co.uk if you require further clarification on this matter.

Just visited the woodlands for the 4th time. The standard of cleanliness is much improved now that Alan has taken over the caretaking duties. However we are not too pleased with the plan to have an on site warden. What do ohter users think.

We have just used the centre with 28 students, for a week and found facilities, location and accomadation excellent for a group of that size.I would recommend it to any group looking for good facilities at a reasonable price.

Had a great weekend, thanks mainly to the Warden's Alan & James friendliness & relaxed atmosphere. Facilities spot on, even had hosepipe for our bikes Am going back soon.

Just a note to inform you that your local tourist information centre or the Oaklands Centre or Ogwen Cottage do not know of your existence. Not as 'The Woodlands Centre' anyway. The nearest Woodlands Centre they know of is in Hay on Wye. Cheers.

As one of those people together with my wife who was involved with the Barn from 1972 onwards until 1992 it is great to see this achievement. Cannot wait to visit next time I am in the area.

Comments by Gordon on 06/03/2001, 15:56:18
Web site looking okay, photograph very good, looks a great place, better than the old cottage in Llanberis, but the old barn still brings back lots of memories. Can't wait to visit.

Comments by Bob Marsh on 06/03/2001, 12:45:29
Great site!! Pity not much about links with Youth and Community and possibly Duke of Edinburgh's Award and others, and ,for the Lottery, more about special needs and Equal Opps. Also, can't work out how to log name - so will do it here!
